"Take your spouse on a luxury cruise vacation and take a tax deduction!"

Dear Fellow Business Owner:

There has been a great deal of media attention focused upon the challenges facing business owners today. How do you protect your business, yourself and your family? Many of us procrastinate, and neglect to deal with these issues because we just don’t have the time to think about events which commonly occur, or we tell ourselves “it won’t happen to me.” The Terry Schaivo case demonstrates the urgency for everyone to have emergency plans and documentation in place, that will take effect instantly, if the unexpected happens to us.

I would like to invite you to join me and a group of business owners to learn how to protect your business interest, yourself and your family, while enjoying a fabulous cruise vacation. The seminar covers how to protect your business operation, your equity, exit strategies and succession planning, as well as tax and retirement planning.

Please review the seminar outline, the cruise details and the cruise itinerary. Note that the price includes the cruise cost for a “mini-suite” or “balcony” stateroom, port charges, taxes and the seminar. Most important, each couple will receive a private consultation, in addition to the informational sessions, to discuss your specific concerns, goals and questions. During this consultation, I will review your existing business agreements and planning documents, and help you create a check list of action to take to develop your life, business, succession and estate plans.

You will not be asked to buy anything. You will be encouraged to take what you have learned and consult with your personal financial, tax and legal advisors, and to follow the principles learned in this workshop. My goal is to explain what good business planning and practice require, and how business and succession planning fits in with each family’s financial plan. In addition, we will dispel the myths about asset protection, valuation, incapacity, wills and trusts, and teach you about the various options and alternatives available.

The Seminar Outline describes the issues that will be covered and the subjects you must cover to serve to protect your business and family. We will look at retirement planning issues and different strategies to demonstrate how to reach your life goals and to live out your life as you determine.

The cruise price is a discount for our group, and includes the seminar, your stateroom, taxes, government fees and port charges, per person. Cruise excursions and airfare are extra. If additional accommodations are desired, those requests can be satisfied at the time of finalizing reservations. Take Note! Because everyone receives a private, one and one-half hour consultation, only twenty-two couples can participate in each Seminar by the Sea, so make your reservations as soon as possible.

Direct all questions and inquiries to Don Scher, by telephone, fax or email. Payment may be made by check or credit card. All cruise excursions, extra accommodations and special arrangements will be made through our exclusive travel agent, Maxine Rosenthal of Distinctive Cruises.

Please contact me. I am sure that you will find that this is a marvelous way for you and your family to enjoy a fabulous vacation, while learning valuable information about your business and, be able to take a business tax deduction.

Sincerely,

DONALD T. SCHER
